S: Escaped overnight and was on counter in main room when arrived for day, caught and returned to cage. On perch, clacking for catch for treatments. Bitey in hand

O: Distal/dorsal end of L D3 scabbed, using toe normally. Follow up exam for additional entanglement wounds, none found. Test flew in hallway, went straight to ceiling and flew length. Gave meds PO.
Meloxicam: 0.65 cc (1.5 mg/ml compounded) PO
Pentoxifylline: 0.29 cc (50 mg/ml compounded ) PO

A: Flew well in hallway, no defecits. LD3 healing well, remains fully functional and no longer concerned about potential for die-off. No other constriction wounds seen. Cleared for release

P: Set up release for tomorrow. Discontinue all meds

Wound on LD3 near talon was cleaned off with diluted chlorohex and left unwrapped with dermagel.
Did not notice any constriction wounds on shoulders.

Feather condition: Primaries on right wing bent and tattered, tail feathers bent and tattered from being caught in netting
Ectoparasites: none seen
Radiographic findings: NSF
Initial treatment: 0.65cc Meloxicam PO, 0.29cc Pentox PO, 50cc LRS SQ in right inguinal area

A: QAR, stuck in netting hanging upside down for unknown amount of time. Netting was wrapped around shoulders and left foot. Constriction wound has formed with discoloration on LD3 near talon. No other wounds noted yet. Wounds in mouth likely caused by chewing at netting trying to get free.

P: Monitor for developing constriction wounds and wounds on LD3 and in mouth. Rx Fluids, Meloxicam and Pentoxifylline. Collect blood and fecal tomorrow, vet check Saturday.
